IPDS

IPDS is the abbreviation for Intelligent Printer Data Stream. This protocol is mainly used by IBM computers (e.g. I-Series) or special software products. As a rule, one needs special printers for IPDS, which support this protocol. IPDS data can be printed with the BENS Server. For this purpose, the user needs additional modules that have to be paid for. The IPDS data are converted to Postscript or PCL5 and printed on industry standard printers.
